I am a mixed media abstract painter with a passion for exploring the use of multiple layers of texture, colour and line to build unique and intimate compositions. I am inspired by the media itself, the intuitive process of discovery, challenge and decision and the final stages of completion which often suggest both figure and landscape. I see these elements as arising naturally given my long artistic journey from realism through assemblage, symbolism, illustration and semi-abstracts to where I am today, a painter who explores new and different forms of abstract expression.
